Investors In People
IJS Consultants is a small organisation and is a very trusting and open place to work. The directors recognise
that the biggest asset of the company is its staff and with this in mind, the directors are keen to demonstrate that they are
committed to the career development of the staff. It was felt that achieving the Investors In People (IiP) National
Standard would demonstrate this commitment, not only to the staff, but also to our clients.
The main reasons for working towards the IiP standard are:
» More motivated staff
» Improve internal communications
» More focused and productive training
» Higher customer satisfaction
» Greater competitiveness.
At the centre of our process in achieving the IiP National Standard is a bespoke career development log. This enables all members of the company to identify their strengths and weaknesses, so that training, either on the job training, formal external training or internal training can be tailored to individuals needs. This review process is undertaken within the first week of someone starting with the company, at the end of their probationary period, and then on a quarterly basis.
Formal monthly meetings are held to bring everybody up to date with the goings on within the company. This also allows an opportunity for staff to give their feedback to the company, although feedback is always welcome at any time.
IJS Consultants has been recognised as an Investor in People based on its continued commitment to develop its staff and subsequently our clients
